Before & Beside (“we,” “us”) operates beforeandbeside.com, a site offering nurse-led educational guides and document-organization tools for family healthcare planning. We are not a law firm, a medical provider, or a covered entity under HIPAA, and this policy isn’t a substitute for reading the specific privacy terms of any third-party service mentioned below.

When you use the site, we may collect:

• Purchase information: your name and email address, collected at checkout through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly.
• Contact information: if you email us, subscribe to updates, or reach out through the site, we keep whatever you send us so we can respond.
• Share-with-care-team information: if you use the feature that emails your completed guide to your attorney, doctor, or family, we collect the recipient email addresses and any note you write, solely to send that one email through our email provider, AgentMail.
• Guided intake questionnaire (Nurse-Guided Package): the answers you type into the guided intake are used entirely in your own browser to generate your personalized action-plan PDF. We do not receive, transmit, or store those answers on our servers.

We use the information above only to:

• Process your purchase and deliver the product you bought.
• Send the document you asked us to share, to the recipients you chose.
• Respond to questions or support requests.
• Send occasional updates or resources, only if you've asked to receive them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we receive your name, email, and order information.
• AgentMail — delivers documents when you use the share-with-care-team feature, and any email correspondence from us.
• Vercel — hosts the website and keeps standard technical logs (like IP address and request times) for security and reliability.

We don’t use third-party advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.

We keep purchase and contact records for as long as needed to support you (for example, in case you need help re-downloading something you bought) and to meet our own tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to what we’re legally required to keep.

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@beforeandbeside.com. If you’re in California or the EU/UK, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law; we’ll honor requests consistent with those laws.

This site is intended for adults making family healthcare planning decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
